Personal Loans, Mortgages, Car Insurance, Managing Debt

From time to time, as I've been running my various UK companies, I've had to take out personal loans to cover times of low turnover. I also took out a home improvement loan way back and have almost paid it off.

I always shopped around before making a decision - I didn't always make the best but I never made the worst!

I really must consider bringing them all together into one consolidated loan. ome are due to pay off in the next year and next couple of years.

I took out my mortgage (a low-start endowment back in 1987) with Abbey National , or Abbey as it's called now. Apart from the endowment mortgage, which I believe was mis-sold to me - I was wet behind the ears back then, I've been happy with them. And they were helpful when I got behind in my repayments early in its life.

I did get a bit stitched up when I took out the additional loan required to support the mortgage.

Brief history in the UK

1982 I set up OASYS CC&T Ltd (failed in 2002), in 1990 I set up Kaos Design and in 1998 I set up Crocus Information Ltd.

I've managed cash flows and set up systems to ensure their continued monitoring and management. I've sought and arranged business loans, I've even secured one using my house. I've needed to estimate profitability of various lines of business and pursue the best.

Of course, I've carried out book-keeping across all company ledgers, I've managed or assisted in my various companies' accounts,

I worked as a business analyst on a general ledger project and also on one for the Commercial General commercial insurance
