Small front, huge inside

You can see the deceptively small front to the National Marine Aquarium across from Plymouth's Barbican. The approach sweeps grandly up to the entrance with both wheelchair ramps and easy steps. The seating areas are there to chill out at, whilst munching some sandwiches or treating yourself to an ice cream break.

Meanwhile, inside contains the deepest shark tank in Europe and is well worth a visit for that alone.

It's also an important centre for the protection and breeding of sea-horses and has holistic displays and interactive media to provide great opportunities for learning.
