Spiking the sky

In this unusual shot of an architectural artifact of unfunctional form, the soaring spike punctures the edge of the building, leaving a clean, circular hole and reaches pointedly for the sky. The swirl of clouds on the clear blue sky could be steam or smoke rising from the heat of the punching.
