Bronze lion statue

Photo of a bronze lion sculpture atop the war memorial in Forbury Gardens, Reading.

The sculptor has caught the lion perfecctly in an agressive, pose, standing its ground as though being challenged by a pretender challenger. Each muscle stands rope-like as though sculpted from living flesh. Its tail can almost be seen flicking and swshing in agitation.
