Mock Flame

Mock flame machines are really realistic. If you've ever wondered how they achieve their effects, there's three parts involved: a piece of silk is cut to the shape of a flame; yellow, red and blue lights concealed in the base point upwards in line with the anchor point of the silk and a fan, also in the base and pointing up, lifts the silk and provides the movement.

As the fan blows, the silk billows and ripples back and forth, catching the different coloured lights and achieving the living flame effect as shown in the photo.
