Pensive and sad

It was Mother's Day and I had taken my mum to the Waterfront Restaraunt, right on the seafront of West Hoe. Seafaring is in our families bloodlines and it was close to the anniversary of my dad's death.

As we came out of the restaraunt we were greeted by this breathtaking view of Drake's Island and the open sea beyond. It must have brought the memories flooding back because after I had taken the shot there was a tear in her eye.
