Dr Who hands over Tardis

After its unexpected materialisation, the Doctor hands over the keys of the Tardis to the local constabulary. In this new effort to catch offenders, the Doctor has temporarily lent the Tardis to the local police.

It is expected that the crime cleanup rate will improve dramatically as a result of this initiative - with judicious use of the Tardis space-time joystick, police are looking forward to preturning to the scene of unsolved crimes to plant incriminating evidence - no, sorry, that should read "to catch the perp red-handed".
