Juxtaposition

The figure is actually looking at a small crab here, not paying homage to a tripod from outer space. The fortuitous lighting (very even – lighter around the pedestal and figure) was engineered in Photoshop Elements using a large radius high-pass filter, and that the figure's skirt matches the tripod is not exactly accidental either.
