Eye of HorusHorus the Elder, son of Osiris and Isis, was also known as "Horus who rules with two eyes". His right eye represented the sun and the left the moon. This photo shows the Eye of Horus amulet as used on a party backdrop. In the ancient texts, Horus' right eye was to be used as an amulet and this is what is represented in the "Eye of Horus". The individual components that make up the eye equate to fractions and each have specific meaning. There's more to this than meets the eye! See my fine art work—beautiful, intriguing, haunting - BBC commissioned.
